Spirit Lake Camping

We had a great time camping at Spirit Lake in the high Uintaha. We paddle boarded and made  yummy food over the fire. 🔥 Adam gave everybody pocket knives with matching flashlights and we worked on knife safety and keeping our kill circle clear. Ryker LOVES camp fires and messing with the wood to make it burn better. Thanks Grandpa and Laura for a great weekend!

 

Anniversary dinner 2025

 One of Adams favorite childhood memories was setting up a fancy dinner for his mom who was dating Dave at the time. We told the kids about it and asked if they wanted to do one for us since we were low on funds due to paying for kids sports. ⚽️, 🏐.  They took it and ran with it! Charlie became a very invested chef, planning, shopping and preparing the food. Ryker was our waiter who filled up our special drinks with apple cider after each bite and even taste tested some of the meal to make sure it was up to par. Lilly provided background music and Amelia was soux chef/ dessert master. (Jack was at work) we all had so much fun! I wish we could do that all the time. 

Photo shoot FAIL

You know those gorgeous pictures where a family is doing something together and they just look so peaceful and happy like they just threw it together? That was what we were after doing a photo shoot with a friend of mine for her portfolio. 

In reality, with REAL children and REAL cookie dough, we got more pictures like this:

 Like the faces? One child is doing what he is supposed to do.

 I like this one, but noone looking at the camera at all.

                                      

We were trying for a cute family bed photo and then the bed crashed down with a loud thud.

 And lots of pictures like this... someday this will make good black mail.
